Rye NY OT

Occupational therapists (OT's) look at the unique needs of each child and address those needs through activities that facilitate sensory processing, self-regulation, motor planning, body awareness, gross and fine motor skills, visual motor and visual perceptual skills, and graphomotor skills. OTs assist the child to develop foundational skills to develop to the child’s maximum potential. A child’s occupation is play! For older children it is being a student. OT uses therapeutic play and activities that help children improve their independent function physically, emotionally, socially and academically, as well as in their daily activities.
